This past week at my parent’s house Eloise was in doggy heaven. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs. She’s a mad woman when we take her to the dog park running from one dog to the next. So a whole week with 3 other dogs (2 golden doodles and 1 pit bull) 24/7 was awesome and I’m pretty sure she’s still recovering from such an exhaustive week. I’ve been trying to convince August for a few months now that we need to get another puppy before Eloise gets too much older (yes, I know she’s not even a year yet) and spending a whole week with 2 puppies just reaffirmed my desire. Here’s a few photos for all you other puppy lovers out there.
Aren’t they just the cutest!
Dinner
For dinner tonight we had something that most people probably aren’t familiar with…Skyline! Skyline is a Cincinnati based restaurant that serves chili (no beans and I’m pretty sure their secret ingredient is cinnamon) over pasta and topped with shredded cheese. It’s one of those foods that you can’t go to Cincinnati and not try. My mom sent us back with a few cans of Skyline chili so I decided to introduce August to its wonders.
This was our first foray into gluten-free pasta so I really wasn’t sure what to expect.
As a side note, if you don’t grate your own cheese I seriously recommend it! Now that we’ve started I don’t think we’ll ever go back to buying pre-shredded cheese.
This meal turned out really good and I think August liked it considering he ate all the remaining chili even though there was no more pasta! And I think that gluten-free pasta will be popping up a few more times since my mom sent us back with 3 boxes worth! Yep, she sure spoils us.
Anyone else itching to get a new puppy? Any unique foods that you can only find in your home town that are must tries if someone visits?

I love the pictures of Prim and Rue!! I do wish we had gotten a photo of all 4 dogs together though. I thought August tried Skyline when Anna and I smuggled some in last summer…
I think a photo of all 4 would have been impossible! And yes, he did have it but only as chili dip
Puppies are the best! Mine loves other dogs too. We are thinking of maybe getting another one, but not until we get more settled
I know it would be best for us to wait at least until the end of summer but they’re just so darn cute!
