Why are you trying the gentle leader with Duncan rather than the harness? It’s a good thing I hadn’t returned Rue”s harness as she chewed up the first one when I didn’t take it off immediately!!! I do like the gentle leader though.
What August said below. It’d be too confusing to teach him not to pull using a harness and then expect to teach him to pull a cart also using a harness. Therefore, the gentle leader it is!
We are doing the gentle leader with Duncan so that we can teach him to pull a cart when he has a harness on. We want to get him certified as a therapy dog as well, then take him to hospitals and pull kids around in a cart. How cool would that be?
We are thinking of maybe getting a second dog…. They look so cute! I do wonder though if I would love another dog as much as I love Freddie
We love having 2 dogs now! I had the same reservation before we got Duncan in that maybe I wouldn’t love him as much but it’s SO not true. Now that we have 2 I can’t imagine not having one of them!
