Weekend Exercise

Lately I’ve been having a hard time getting motivated to work out on the weekends.  The structure of the work-week makes it easier to incorporate exercise whereas the spontaneity of weekends has made it more difficult.  August and I like to do activities like going to the trampoline park and swimming at his Grandma’s ranch rather than traditional gym workouts.  So Saturday morning we went out to play disc golf.  I’ve only played a few other times so I’m still learning.

My disc usually ended up on the ground next to the basket, rather than actually in it.

Since there was no one else at the park, we let Eloise off leash and she was smart and mostly hung out in the shade since it was almost 100 degrees out.

In the shade or in the basket…

Ha, she has such a rough life. ;)

Yesterday I went the more traditional route and stuck to the gym.  40 minutes on the elliptical while reading Drop Dead Healthy by A.J. Abrams.

I’m only a quarter of the way through the book and I’m not sure how I feel about it.  I can’t necessarily say whether it’s good or bad but it’s definitely been interesting so far.

The rest of our weekend was spent drinking strawberry margaritas…

Watching the Olympics, even ping-pong, table tennis…

And eating a $9 monster Costco pizza…

What did your weekend workouts look like?  What was your favorite Olympic event of the weekend?  If you’ve had Costco pizza, what did you think of it?
